I've decided to up my cardio exercise period from 45 minutes to 50 minutes. This includes cooldown. Whatever I'm doing, it certainly isn't enough.

Tonight's session burned 619 calories, if the hotel elliptical is to be believed. The longer period also neatly fits two episodes of anime back to back. I'm going to have to find a new series soon, or face digging something up from my archives...

I decided to have a bottle of diet soda today; I haven't had any in three days. While the first few mouthfuls were delicious, the majority of the bottle no longer seemed pleasant. Odd, it almost seems a waste to even buy the stuff any longer. Furthermore, it did have an impact on my hunger. After exercising I felt the familiar nausea and sinking feeling I've associated with hunger for years. Thankfully it passed in a few minutes after I drank a bottle of water.

Besides the longer cardio times, I pushed myself a bit Tuesday night during strength training. It's no surprise to me that my legs are the strongest part of my body. After all, they carry all my excess weight 18 hours a day. There is one particular machine that simulates the same sort of pushing one does when standing from a crouched position. I decided to see just how far I could push that. I nearly maxed-out the machine. 250lbs! Although certainly a lot more than I've tried before, it's not surprising given my current weight.

Tomorrow is my last day traveling for as long as two months. I have a class to teach on Monday, and a 7pm flight tomorrow. Hopefully it'll depart on time, although I really doubt it.
