Usually I spend a great deal of time cleaning up my lineart prior to coloring. It can be the most agonizing part of any art I produce. My unwitting mentor Yoshitoshi aBe, however, seems much more comfortable with sketchiness. As an experiment, I've decided to dispense with the cleaning regimen and push right to the coloring. Hopefully the roughness of the lineart won't be as appearent in the final version.
As I rather enjoy artwork progress posts, here's an update:
The colors of her outfit don't feel right. They either are too dark, or the two pieces of the outfit should be different colors.
