The First Day

The first day of training went well, even despite my previous night's insomnia. Having signed an NDA, I am now under some fairly strict limits about what I can discuss, so this entry shall be rather sparse on the details. Suffice to say, Nintendo seems like a very pleasant company to work for, even in the capacity as an outside hire for a staffing agency. I don't wish to get ahead of myself by any means, but I idly wonder whether Nintendo itself ever hires from this pool. I think I'd be rather happy to work for them directly, perhaps post-degree. I know they have need for technical communicators.

I came home at the end of my day and was rapidly smothered in instant mesages. "How did it go?" "Was your first day alright?" Alongside some more substantive conversation with Trice (insofar as I was capable of it), I gently fended off the interested hordes of friends with broken syntax and weary assurance that it had gone quite well. I'd like to say I got anything else done with my evening, but in truth I passed out sometime around 7:00 to find, upon awakening, that it was now 3:45am.

Time to get ready for work, I s'pose.  This is going to rapidly devour my life, isn't it?
