Tiny Computer Home-Extruded Rack Infrastructure
Sure, you can buy a server rack, but what's the fun in that?
TCHeRI is a home computing rack made of 3D printed parts and aluminum extrusions. It's primarily designed to house Single Board Computers (SBCs) such as the Raspberry Pi. Intended to self-host web applications such as sites, fediverse instances, and groupware like OwnCloud, TCHeRI can be built with simple tools and a basic 3D printer. The design goal is not only functional, but modular, easy to performance maintenance, and good looking. The design is flexible to allow for larger or smaller racks to be built.
TCHeRI does not have any relationship to Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions (CHERI) by the University of Cambridge, but that project is neat too!
You can find most of the parts I used to build the rack in the TCHeRI Thingiverse collection.
We have some swag for sale, or you can buy us a coffee on Ko-fi. Every little bit helps, thanks!
