Been trying for the past couple of days to arrange to visit my grandmother, with my sister, but have not yet succeeded. The day we had selected, when I wasn't working, turned out when I called to be a day she'd had to be taken in to the hospital early in the morning for observation.

Didn't know which hospital, overlooked the possibility of asking. She was still in when I called the next day, also, although in expectation of being released home shortly. So I settled for merely picking up my sister and getting her back home, which took about two hours overall in itself.

*yawns*

Good thing of the day: the spinach and mushroom strata I made for dinner came out well, if a bit late.

Bad thing of the day: as I left for work this morning, I tripped on a cable and knocked my laptop to the floor. Found out on returning home, the screen has been broken and is useless.

Neutral things of the day: managed this morning's shift no problems; dug up the monitor for our old desktop PC and got that working with my laptop so as not to be computer-less for the time being.

Also, I feel exhausted. Should go sleep, another early day tomorrow.

So...

In the distant past I made a post suggesting I would be attempting some daily diarying of my life, followed by a whole lot of silence. That was bad timing, as I was immediately hit in the face by five consecutive days of work (not a big deal to most people, I know, but for me that's fairly demanding) overlapping with the beginning of my current semester at university.

Like a diary?

I thought, if I made more posts about what I am up to, that might be helpful. Diary entries about what I've intended to do for the day and whether I have done those things. Hopefully an incentive to make sure I actually do those things. Been worried about falling behind on matters of importance.

Roguelike Roulette [slot 3]

The next game in the line-up was one of several added after the first post. It is not even a roguelike, but I have been generous enough to offer it tentative inclusion in the category 'roguelikelikes', although in this case that could be a little unfair. (Edit: since the developer announces releases at rec.games.roguelike.announce, perhaps it is fair enough)

Game-Journals: WoW (Antikata)

Of course the delivery of those messages was not the end of my involvement. I am sent back out of the city on further missions, nearer home than I had expected. At least one is near Brill; there are supplies there I have use for, and I have yet to learn well the paths of Undercity.

------

This is embarrassing. Abigail does not have what I need. I think I must return to Undercity already. Fortunately the twilight paths of Tirisfal Glades are quite pleasant to walk. I wonder if anywhere else could compare?
